So we had the windows rolled down and elbows on the sash. The air was cool. We listened to the sound of the wheels on the pavement and jammed around the radio.

Ah, the good old Yale. As a young Silver Scholar, it was an incredible experience studying alongside traditional MBAs—folks who were older, wiser, and had done some pretty impressive (cool) things. Each of them brought so much to the table. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t intimidated, but it also pushed me to grow in ways I hadn't expected.

Late-night Brooklyn bridge always fascinates me. While I was eating under Madison 535, I would always sprinkle few grains of rice to the sparrows under the table. Strawberry green tea matcha latte at the Canal Street Market is the best. With friends around, winters in New York are always warm.

Undergrad at Johns Hopkins was an intense experience to say the least. The "Duck syndrome," as we call it, motivated me to think deeply about my talent and passion. I also affirmed my hope to make an impact on this world.

My high school will always be my heart. Transferring to a U.S. high school as a sophomore isn't always easy, but I experienced such a great love and community. I got the best education possible from teachers, staff, and dorm parents that cared about my future. And I undoubtedly developed a character rooted in love, honesty, and compassion. I will forever go caxy.

As a gifted urban planner, my father loves traveling around the world. I was fortunate enough to be brought on some trips with him before middle school starts. I fascinated by the Eiffel Tower, took a London Bus, rode the Gondola, rolled down the grass hill in Madrid, and complained about the extra ketchup charges in Spain.

Growing up in Hangzhou, I have fallen in love with this city multiple times. If you happen to visit Hangzhou one day, please smile at the strangers, and, most likely, they will return you a big warm smile. This place will always be my home.
